2008 Woman of Excellence
The Woman of Excellence is the Tomball Charter Chapter’s nominee to The Federation of Houston Professional Women, an alliance of women's professional organizations which annually recognizes area professional and businesswomen who have demonstrated a focus on education, networking, specific careers , and community service. This dynamic group serves over 50 member organizations, although diverse in style and structure, with more than 4,000 members in the Houston area. This member is honored at the Federation of Houston Professional Women’s Women of Excellence banquet in the fall.
To be the chapter Woman of Excellence, a member must:
- Be female
- An ABWA Tomball Chapter member for at least 1 year
- A member in good standing locally and nationally
- A current/past chapter officer or current/past committee chair
Katherine was awarded this once in a lifetime honor for so many reasons She is enthusiastic and energetic; she makes people smile; s he can take the bull by the horns and pull it together! She perseveres to pull things together and put her special brand of success on them. She wants to make a difference in the Tomball Chapter and does so through her “go get ‘em” ability. In her career she continuously makes a difference in other’s lives. She has been a member since 2004 and is currently serving the chapter as Treasurer. She has chaired the BA Event numerous times and served on many committees throughout the past four years. As the Tomball Charter Chapter’s Woman of Excellence, s he will attend the Federation of Houston Professional Women’s annual tea and gala. S he will stand proudly for the Tomball Charter Chapter among all the Houston Professional Women honorees and be recognized by her peers. It is because of her love and dedication to the Tomball Charter Chapter that she was selected.
